Sulina Danube Delta 2026 tours/trips
Our tours depart from Tulcea in the season(from 1-15 April until 1-15 October) – this is when we organise group tours which you can join.
We also organise private tours all year round. Off season we request minimum costs.
The regular seasonal tour start from Tulcea(09:30-10:00) waterfront(See SAFCA DELTA TOURS on google maps or click HERE).
The one day tour to the village Mila23 and Sulina – the end of the Danube goes like this:
* departing from Tulcea seeing the port and the Tudor Vladimirescu suburbs;
* going with speed for 15-20 minutes up the intersection of the channel Mila 36 with Sireasa South channel,
* we go slowly and visit the Sireasa South channel with has a very nice landscape with wild grapes, whipping willows and narrow fields,
* after this we go with speed for 10 minutes arriving in the area of Lake Mester and “La Scaunele” fisherman platform, where we go slowly,
* moving forward to the area of Lake Nebunu(Crazy man’s Lake – legend on guided tours),
* moving forward to the area of Lake Martin(can be entered if the water level is medium-high)
* moving forward to the area of Lake Great Baclanesti where we visit the entrance of the lake,
* next we visit the area of Lake Furtuna – one of the biggest lakes of the Danube Delta – where we can spot large flocks of common pelicans,
* arriving in the village Mila23 where we stop for 1h:30-2h(1h-1h:15 located for lunch, 30 minutes to visit the village)
* we depart to Sulina to see where the Danube goes into the Black Sea and here we have two options:
1. We visit the Old Lighthouse and the natural exit of the Danube into the Musura Bay
(safe option when the wind is medium-strong)
2. We visit the New Lighthouse and the man made exit of the Danube into the Black Sea, also possible to see the wrecked ship Turgut Usta if there are no big waves
* we stay in Sulina between 1.5h – 3h, depending on the weather, group choice and sunset time(we have to arrive in Tulcea by the end of the day)!
